Chaumette...This is your life!

I was just poking around on the web, when I came upon an article written about me, and I was not even interviewed. (OK, it's not really about me.) It begins:

The typical office worker is interrupted every three minutes by a phone call, e-mail, instant message or other distraction.

We all know about the pressure to be available at all times. Blackberries, cellphones, instant messaging, these are just the start. I can't imagine it getting worse, but it will.

Our connections to others get closer every day. I keep having thoughts of the Minority Report's retina scanner, and subdermal implants, but that's the conspiracy theorist in me.

To get back to the point, the whole thing can be overwhelming. The people who will be successful in the future will be those who can still process information and find time to think. I think I can come up with a solution, but I just got another email. I'll be back in a minute.
